Sorry for, uh, disappearing? Over the summer, work was exhausting; now, school is exhausting. I guess I'll give you a little rundown on my first few weeks of public high school via my schedule.
PERIOD 1: STATISTICS (ABCDEF)
So, I thought that I hated math. Like, really, really HATED math with every fiber of my being. But I freaking LOVE stats. It's so interesting to study how data is really calculated and analyzed. I'm such a nerd. For my first quarter project, I conducted a survey about political views and parents' influence on their children and I just about reached the point of nerdy euphoria analyzing the data, finding that the most closedminded political group is INDEED the Republican party.
PERIOD 2: AP ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE (ABCDEF)
Everyone told me that this was a joke AP. That was a malicious lie. I love this clas, but it's really hard. My teacher is insane, though, and I love him. My friend Hannah and I are fighting over whether he is more like the guy from Man vs. Wild or the guy who lives with bears. He also enjoys telling us about his 96 year old grandmother from South Dakota and his cannibalistic goldfish named Wiggles.
PERIOD 3: SPANISH IV HONORS (ABCDEF)
My teacher is a ball-buster. That's all I'm going to say.
PERIOD 4: AP US HISTORY (ABCDEF)
I LOVE history. I LOVE this class. I LOVE my teacher. He's so adorably dorky and he loves history so much. I spend at least an hour every night on this class, but it's so worth it. My teacher loves to scare us; every day for a good month, he would give us reasons to drop the class. My favorite quote from old Burnsy? "My wife's greatest achievement in life, after marrying me, was getting a 5 on her AP US History exam."
PERIOD 5: AP ENGLISH LITERATURE & COMPOSITION (ABCDEF)
Not sure how I feel about this class. We haven't actually read any books yet and my teacher likes to pontificate, but I do like the way he's been teaching analysis and formalism. Meh.
PERIOD 6: GYM (ACE)/AP ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE LAB (BD)/STUDY HALL (F)
PERIOD 7: STUDY HALL (ACE)/WOMEN'S CHOIR
Soprano Is need to shut up.
PERIOD 8: JOURNALISM II (EDITING) (ABCDEF)
I miss Tower.
So, there you have it.
Adios.
