    A Dollop of Daisy

Gahhh sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been working at the barn a bit and I got a new puppy! Her name is Daisy, and she's a little cockapoo. She's sitting right next to me on my bed, sniffing around, as I write this. She's amazingly adorable, smart, and fun. We've decided (as a family) that she'll sleep in my bed, which I have no problem with. She's like a little teddy bear! We don't know what type of poodle she was mixed with--she's half cocker spaniel, half some kind of poodle--but we're pretty sure that it's either a miniature poodle or a toy poodle. She'd be much bigger if she was part standard poodle. She's about eight weeks now and I adore her.

Since our last dog, Clyde (5/17/92-4/1/09, RIP), was a spoiled spoiled brat and poorly trained, we originally wanted to train Daisy to sleep downstairs in a crate, but she's so damn cute and we hate to hear her cry (plus we can't sleep), so she's sleeping in my bed for now on.

Happy 4th of July, I guess. I don't really have much to say, but I wanted to write something, as I haven't for a while.

As my newspaper adviser says at the end of every single one of her emails, Peace.
